Precision Air publishes list of survivors of #LakeVictoria crash

Precision Air has issued another statement about the crash of their ATR42-500 on the 06th of November which reads as follows:

 

 

Precision Air can now confirm the list of all involved in the accident involving flight PW-494 which crashed in Bukoba at Lake Victoria in Bukoba the day before yesterday.

The aircraft, 5H-PWF, ATR42-500, was flying from Dar es Salaam to Bukoba when the accident occurred at 08:53 local time. There were 39 passengers (38 Adults and 1 Infant) and 4 crew on board the flight.

We can also confirm that among the list there were 02 Kenyans, 01 Chinese, 01 British and 35 Tanzanians.

Precision Air did provide transport and will be coffering for all the deceased logistics, a total 15 bodies have been dispatched today from Bukoba to various destinations of their origin.

Precision Air’s Group Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Patrick Mwanri, paid his last respects to the deceased at Kaitaba Stadium in Bukoba.

The event was organized by Government of  theUnited Republic of Tanzania.

The Board of Directors, Management and Staff of Precision Air are deeply saddened by the accident, we join Tanzanians in these sad times and send our condolences to families, relatives and friends of all deceased and wish quick recovery to all the survivors.

Investigation of the accident is now underway and we will provide updates as soon as we have new information.
