Qatar Airways adds Birmingham as fourth UK destination

MORE CHOICES FOR EAST AFRICANS TRAVELLING TO THE UK

(Posted 31st March 2016)

The United Kingdom remains on top of the countries visited by travelers from Eastern Africa and ever ready to meet market demands has Qatar Airways now launched daily flights between Doha and Birmingham, the fourth destination in Britain for the award winning five star airline.

The launch came on the same day when Qatar Airways’ Instagram following crossed the one million threshold, a further sign how the market is responding to innovation, excellent service and a growing number of global destinations.

A Boeing B787 Dreamliner is the aircraft Qatar Airways has deployed on the latest new route, in the well known two class configuration of 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class, the latter in a comfortable 3x3x3 layout. The eight weekly flights, there are two departures on Saturday, bring the total number of services to the UK to 73, with London’s Heathrow leading with 42 weekly flights or six daily services out of Doha.

Travelers from Qatar Airways’ East Africa destinations Entebbe, Kigali, Nairobi, Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar, with final destination Birmingham, now have another choice to travel there and excellent fares and even better service levels will no doubt help to soon fill those Dreamliners to capacity.
