Qatar Airways launches intense marketing campaign for Seychelles flights

SEYCHELLES GETS PRIME TIME ATTENTION AS QATAR AIRWAYS LAUNCHES MARKETING CAMPAIGN

The ongoing TOP RESA, France’s highest profile tourism trade show held annually in Paris, has been the launch platform for Qatar Airways’ global marketing blitz to promote flights to the Seychelles.
Come December will the world’s first five star airline re-launch daily flights to Mahe, a prospect much applauded and warmly welcomed by the archipelago’s tourism and hospitality fraternity.
Seychelles is dependent on tourism for their survival. They have done all the right things in the area of protection of their environment and in the construction of a good hotel infrastructure, but air access to main tourism source markets has always been the point raised by the island’s private sector trade. By the end of this year we shall be having 11 new weekly flights over and above what we have already. This is music to the ears of every tourism related businesses of the Seychelles’ said Minister Alain St.Ange, the island’s Minister of Tourism and Culture when he was in Paris earlier this week. Mrs. Sherin Francis, the CEO of the Tourism Board of Seychelles and Ms. Bernadette Willemin, the Seychelles Tourism Board’s Paris based Director for Europe both met with Qatar Airways representatives to discuss joint marketing ventures before the flight launch and beyond.
