Beach of the Roches Noires

A fourth webcam has just been installed on the beach of Roches Noires in Saint-Gilles-les-Bains. This project was made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Reunion Island Tourism (IRT) and Tamarun which open today a window on the Indian Ocean.

A little trip to one of Reunion’s beaches from your home and your armchair, is it not tempting? The experience is made possible with the installation of a new webcam on the beach of Roches Noires located in the heart of the seaside resort of Saint-Gilles-les-Bains since the beginning of this week.

A view at 270 ° on the beach

Located at the MNS station, the webcam offers a 270 ° real-time view of the port of Saint-Gilles-les-Bains to the Esplanade des Roches Noires. A weather station also allows you to know the temperature on the spot, as well as the speed and direction of the wind.

Four open windows on the intense island landscapes

The installation of this new webcam on the beach of Roches Noires now brings to four the number of webcams installed on the most beautiful sites of the island. You can go on three other sites from the website of IRT via www.reunion.fr and find views of the following locations:

Les Colimaçons: a high-definition webcam films the 24-hour take-off site located at 800 meters above sea level in Saint-Leu;

Trou d’eau: enjoy the 180 ° panorama on Trou d’Eau beach and its turquoise lagoon;

Piton de la Fournaise: it is the first French webcam to film live one of the most active volcanoes on the planet . Located at Piton de Bert, the webcam offers you a view of the Dolomieu and the Fouqué enclosure.
