GREAT START TO #AFRICA’S GREATEST TRAVEL WEEK
(Posted 18th April 2018)
Opening its doors this morning to the travel industry, World Travel Market (WTM) Africa got off to a great start with an influx of travel trade visiting the Reunion Island Tourism stand (D14). Exhibiting at WTM Africa since its inception in 2014, this Indian Ocean island gem was delighted to be in Cape Town at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) to engage with travel professionals from all over Africa and beyond about the myriad of experiences on offer in this unique Indian Ocean Island destination.
Accompanied by seven Reunion Island industry partners this year, Hélène Bezuidenhoudt, Regional Director of Atout France, representing Reunion Island in South Africa, is encouraged that visitors from the region are showing such an interest in the destination. “We are seeing some significant increases in visitors from South Africa and other regions of Africa, and participating in initiatives such as WTM Africa is important in order to keep the momentum going. Reunion Island offers unique experiences to travellers and we are committed to strengthening our relationships in the region to ensure we keep all stakeholders informed on what our island has to offer”.
“It was an absolute pleasure visiting Reunion Island’s stand at this year’s WTM Africa. We were able to not only learn about the island and all its beautiful landscapes but also had the opportunity to interact with stand partners – I would definitely recommend a visit to #theultimateisland”, commented travel professional, Thyto Nsadi – Cocorico Travels.
Visit Reunion Island at stand (D14) and meet the Reunion Island Tourism Board and stand partners including Air Austral, Akoya Hotel & Spa, Anthurium Tourisme Ocean Indien, Connections Reunion, Hotel Dina Norgabine, LUX Resorts & Hotels, Mille Tours and Villa Delisle Hotel & Spa ****.
