Richard Kimenyi joins Hemingways Nairobi as General Manager

HEMINGWAYS NAIROBI WELCOMES RICHARD KIMENYI AS THEIR NEW GENERAL MANAGER

Hemingways Collection has named Mr. Richard Kimenyi as the new General Manager for Hemingways Nairobi. In his new role, Mr. Kimenyi will be responsible for all operations of the 45-suite boutique hotel.

Mr. Kimenyi brings over 30 years’ experience with him from the luxury hospitality segment as he joins Hemingways Nairobi.

Nestled between the Nairobi National Park and the foot of the Ngong Hills, Hemingways Nairobi is an exclusive luxury boutique hotel located in the peaceful suburb of Karen. It is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World that comprises 520 hotels in more than 70 countries.

Announcing the appointment, Hemingways Collection Chief Executive Officer Mr, Alastair Addison said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Richard to the Hemingways Collection team. His extensive experience in the luxury hotel industry makes him a great fit for this role. Richard joins us at an exciting time for our business and the tourism industry in Kenya‘.

Mr. Kimenyi joins the hotel from The Fairmont Mt. Kenya Safari Club after an illustrious thirty years career at the helm of Fairmont The Norfolk.

The Hemingways Collection consists of Hemingways Nairobi, Hemingways Ol Seki Mara, Hemingways Watamu and Hemingways Residences.

Established 29 years ago, Hemingways Watamu is the oldest of the Hemingways Collection. The resort on Watamu beach is currently undergoing a significant redevelopment to improve and revive this iconic property, matching its newer sister property, Hemingways Nairobi. When completely refurbished it will offer travelers to East Africa a true luxury 5-star boutique hotel experience on the coast of Kenya.

Hemingways Ol Seki Mara is an intimate luxury tented camp located in the private 200 km² Naboisho Conservancy in the Mara. It boasts 6 luxury double tents and two large family tents with majestic views over the Koiyaki plains.
