Royal Air Maroc announces launch date for Nairobi flights

ROYAL AIR MAROC FLIGHTS TO NAIROBI START AT THE END OF MARCH

(Posted 01st February 2016)

A twice a week service between Casablanca and Nairobi is now just two months away as Royal Air Maroc intends to launch flights between Morocco and Kenya on the 31st of March.

Flight AT263, operated with a Boeing B767-300 aircraft, leaves Casablanca every Wednesday and Friday night at 22.35hrs and arrives in Nairobi the following morning at 08.20hrs before returning as AT262. The airline’s B767’s are configured in a two class layout of 12 seats in Business Class and between 224 and 227 seats in Economy Class.

The return flights on Thursday and Saturday leave Kenya’s capital at 09.20hrs with an ETA of 16.10hrs the same day back in Casablanca.

Speculation was meanwhile raised in the Rwandan media that the Moroccan flag carrier might combine Kigali on the same routing but no confirmation could be received at this time.

This will be the first time that Morocco will be linked with nonstop flights to East Africa. Given the airline’s extensive network from Casablanca into Europe and their North America flights to Montreal and New York will travel savvy Kenyans no doubt quickly discover that traveling with RAM can get them to their destination faster and arguably cheaper than travelling via the main hubs in the Gulf.
