Rwanda may be geographically small in size but for certain big in spirit and bigger yet in showcasing herself as the judges at the just ended ITB 2018 handed the country once again the trophy for best exhibitor from Africa.
Up against regional colleagues from across Eastern Africa but also the giants in African tourism, South Africa, Egypt and Morocco, did the team at the Rwandan stand their country proud again as their charm and reported competence captured hearts and minds of trade visitors, the public and most important, of the judges from the Cologne Business School which conducts the surveys and passes judgement.

Notably present on the stand was national airline RwandAir which presently serves two European destinations, Brussels and London besides flying a growing number of routes across Africa with Abuja next joining the list in April before Cape Town will be launched in May.

Rwanda, besides conventional tourism arrivals, has also made inroads into the lucrative MICE business where in 2017 it claimed third position in Africa after a relentless march towards adding not only a new national convention centre but also opening new five star hotels with their own wide range of conferencing facilities over the past two years.

Congratulations to Team Rwanda for this achievement, not the first time for that matter that The Land of a Thousand Hills has brought this trophy back home with them.
