Safarilink adds brand new Cessna C208B Grand Caravan EX to fleet

GETTING READY FOR THE HIGH SEASON AS SAFARILINK GETS BRAND NEW AIRCRAFT

Safarilink last week received a brand new Cessna Grand Caravan EX directly from the Cessna Factory in Wichita, Kansas, USA.
The 14 seater Grand Caravan EX is according to information received from Nairobi equipped with the latest integrated flight instrument system, a state of the art all glass suite cockpit, the latest avionics package which includes traffic avoidance collision system or in short TICAS, an enhanced ground proximity warning for pilots (EGPWS) and an efficient auto pilot system amongst many other features.
The new aircraft brings the overall fleet of previously 9 Cessna Grand Caravans in to now 10 aircraft. The Caravan’s arrival coincides with the onset of the tourism peak season when demand for flying safaris normally rises considerably together will a boost in incoming tourist traffic.

Safarilink operates daily scheduled flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to the Masai Mara, serving all the key airfields in the game reserve and the adjoining conservancies. Safarilink also flies daily to Amboseli, Tsavo but also Nanyuki, Naivasha, Samburu and some other of the Northern conservancies. In addition does Safarilink serve Lamu, Ukunda and Vipingo at the Kenya coast.
Many smaller airlines are regularly buying or leasing pre-owned aircraft so the arrival of a brand new bird is always making some waves and headlines.
