There are now just two working days remaining for Remco Althuis, outgoing CEO of Air Seychelles, before his term of office, which started in September 2018 comes to an end on the 30th of June.
ATCNews extends best wishes to Remco’s successor Sandy Benoiton, who will take office on the 01st of July after serving for over 20 years with the airline in other senior positions. He is presently serving as the airline’s Chief Operating Officer.
The return to a Seychellois CEO is the first since UAE national airline Etihad came on board as a shareholder and seconded CEO’s and CFO’s to the airline over successive terms of office.
The last years were amongst the toughest for Air Seychelles, having to face the fallout of the global COVID19 pandemic, which saw destination after destination fall victim to travel bans, although on the upside a fleet renewal to Airbus A320NEO also brought benefits to the operating costs.
Tyrian Gendron will on 01st of July replace Michael Berlouis as Chief Financial Officer of the airline.
Decisions are still outstanding from the Seychelles government about which way the airline is expected to go in the future and ATCNews will as usual report updates as and when available.
Best wishes to Remco Althuis for his future career and many thanks for the always great cooperation over the past nearly 3 years.
