#SUDAN DENIES KENYA AIRWAYS PERMISSION TO FLY TO TEL AVIV THROUGH THEIR AIRSPACE
(Posted 11th January 2018)
Information has come to light that the Republic of the Sudan has turned down a request by Kenya Airways to fly to Tel Aviv through their airspace.
This stand appears to be in line with decisions taken by other Arab countries without diplomatic relations with Israel and enforcing their own form of an embargo whenever opportunities like this arise.
The decision is a blow to Kenya Airways as the airline now needs to find an alternative route for their planned flights to Israel with the available options likely to causing costly detours in order to avoid airspaces closed for services routing into and out of Israel.
There has been no on the record reaction from Kenya Airways at the time of uploading this article.
