(Posted 12th April 2018)
Visitor arrivals from Brazil to the Seychelles have increased by 120 percent over the course of the last 12 months, prompting the Seychelles Tourism Board to embark on a four city marketing tour.
First to meet the Seychelles team were travel agents from Porto Alegre before the roadshow moved on to Curitiba, Belo Horizonte and finally São Paulo. It was there that Emirates and Turkish Airlines joined the marketing activities, both airlines connecting the Seychelles with daily flights and just one stop from Sao Paulo.
Global Vision Access, Seychelles’ marketing representative in Brazil and across Latin America, organized the event which was attended by the Director of Marketing for Africa and the Americas Mr. David Germain and Ms. Natacha Servina from the STB office in Victoria.
Also on board the mission were three private sector participants from the Seychelles, Six Senses Zil Pasyon, North Island, Seychelles and Banyan Tree Seychelles. Last year some 1.882 Brazilians visited Seychelles, a 120 percent rise over 2016 and during the first two months of 2018 figures continued to rise month by month.
