11 Seychellois students have now completed their five year programme to earn a Bachelor Degree, after first completing three years at the Seychelles Tourism Academy where they attained a Higher Diploma, before moving to the Shannon College in Ireland for their final two years of studies.
Before graduation were all of them required to satisfactorily complete an industrial training programme of 9 months, which can only be undertaken at approved work places in the UAE, the Seychelles or in Ireland.
A delegation from the Seychelles, led by the Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine Didier Dogley and STA Principal Flavien Joubert, witnessed the graduation and used the opportunity for additional bilateral talks.
STA is presently in the process of further extending their exemplary cooperation with the Shannon Institute, which has been in place for many years to the benefit of Seychellois students and the archipelago’s hospitality industry and tourism industry in general.
Cooperation between Shannon and STA started 11 years ago and 65 students from the Seychelles have since successfully completed their studies, some in fact coming out on top of their respective classes.
