#Tanzania’s Auric Air reports ‘Temporary Airstrip Closures’

We regret to inform you that certain airstrips in our network are temporarily closed.

Please refer to the table below for details on affected airstrips. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time.

Aerodrome: Pangani (Kwajoni)

Description: Runway Wet and Slippery due to heavy rains

Status: Route Closed

Comments: Closed until further notice or until the current rainy spell ceases to allow the surface to dry out completely

Aerodrome: Rubondo

Description: Runway wet and slippery due to heavy rains

Status: Route Closed

Comments: Closed until further notice or until the current rainy spell ceases to allow the surface to dry out completely

Aerodrome: Dolly Airfield

Description: Runway wet and slippery due to heavy rains

Status: Route Closed

Comments: Closed until further notice or until the current rainy spell ceases to allow the surface to dry out completely. Airfield closed for all commercial aviation operations from January 01, 2024

Aerodrome: Moshi

Description: Runway under rehabilitation

Status: Route Closed

Comments: Closed until further notice

Aerodrome: Iringa

Description: Runway under construction which has led to shortened runway length

Status: Load Restrictions

Comments: Passenger load for flights departing from Iringa is limited to 10 passengers

Aerodrome:: Mtemere (Nyerere N. Park)

Description: Runway wet and slippery due to heavy rains

Status: Load Restrictions

Comments: Load restrictions in place for aircraft on scheduled routing to Iringa and Ruaha

Aerodrome:: Kiba (Nyerere N. Park)

Description: New runway unsuitable for operations due to weather damage / short runway available

Status: Load Restrictions

Comments: Load restrictions are in place; booking is available by inquiry only
