#TOURISM COMOROS LAUNCHES THE #CULTURE AND #HERITAGE WEEK TODAY

The Festival Week of the Heritage and the Comorian Culture (FESPACOM) goes underway this Monday. The week long series of events has been described by local tourism sources as a big national cultural and tourist festival of a regional and international scope. The National Office of Tourism of the Comoros, now under the high patronage of the Vice-Presidency in charge of the Ministry of Tourism, has put in place measures to promote the Comorian heritage as a whole, very similar to culture and heritage festivals in the Seychelles, on Reunion and Mauritius.
This festival, supported by the Vanilla Islands organization of which the Comoros are a founder member, aims to introduce the world to the rich heritage of the so called ‘Islands of the Moon‘ immersed in a culture from the four corners of the Indian Ocean.
The festival is of vital importance for the promotion, promotion and safeguarding of the Comorian cultural and natural heritage through festive activities of exchange between different professional actors.
