A special message from the Eat African Wild Life Society, of particular interest to students
seeking a scholarship.

Dear EAWLS Member/ Supporter/ Partners,

Through a partnership with the Royal African Foundation and the African Journal of Ecology, the East African Wild Life Society (EAWLS) has established a scholarship programme at Masters Level. EAWLS invites students pursuing or intending to pursue graduate studies in the following areas to apply for a scholarship to cover research work for up to 2 years.

· Forestry – with special focus on Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) in threatened forest ecosystems,

· Marine – with special focus on fisheries management and practices, preferably in Kenya’s South Coast,

· Wildlife – with special focus on threatened species and ecosystem management,

· Wetlands – with special focus on Yala, Tana Delta and other threatened wetlands

· Cross cutting – with focus on effects of large scale developments (as outlined in Kenya’s Vision 2030) on environmental sustainability of ecosystems.
