#Uganda Airlines – Jenifer Bamuturaki appointed as substantive CEO

(Posted 06th July 2022)

It has been confirmed that the Minister for Transport and Communications, the Honourable Edward Katumba-Wamala has appointed the former Acting CEO Mrs. Jenifer Bamaturaki, as the new substantive CEO, effective immediately.

Ugandan social and mainstream media had in the recent past made a hullaballoo over the Uganda Airlines leadership and the appointment now puts to rest those issues and brings the top floor of the airline back into a quiet working mode.

The previous CEO. Mr. Cornwell Muleya, was some weeks ago arrested and charged but has been released pending trial over a range of allegations which were made against him and other senior managers back in 2021.

The Minister only recently also appointed a new Board of Directors after the previous board was unceremoniously relieved of duties.

ATCNews extends best wishes to Jenifer and success for the years ahead!
