UGANDA AIRLINES OPERATES FIRST COMMERCIAL FLIGHT SINCE 22ND MARCH
(Posted 02nd July 2020)
Uganda Airlines first repatriation flight, to bring stranded Ugandans home from both Johannesburg and Lusaka, has reached South Africa’s commercial capital and is preparing to fly back via Lusaka in Zambia.
The flight was initially planned for the 25th of June but logistical challenges made a rescheduling of the flight necessary.
The airline is reportedly looking into possibilities to operate more such flights to bring Ugandans home from other destinations too but meanwhile has the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed additional repatriation flights to Uganda from the UK, Switzerland, Italy, Abu Dhabi / UAE and New Dehli / India, as shown below.
Once Uganda Airlines has firmed up additional repatriation flights will ATCNews give readers the thumbs up as early as possible to allow stranded Ugandans learn about their opportunity to come home.
Happy Landings!
