UHOA APPOINTS MS. JEAN BYAMUGISHA AS NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Effective Monday this week did Ms. Jean Byamugisha take over the position as Executive Director of the Uganda Hotel Owners Association. She spent the last two years working for the UN’s IOM as a hospitality sectoral expert. Prior to her joining IOM, the International Organization for Migration, was Jean already employed by UHOA as Executive Secretary for 6 years. This experience gives her detailed insight into the association’s objectives and challenges and allows her to seamlessly get on with her work without a lengthy process to get acquainted with the who is who or building a network from scratch.
On her first day in office did Jean make it already clear that she will be seeking a close collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, the Uganda Tourism Board, the Uganda Wildlife Authority, tourism sector associations, airlines, banks, insurance companies, suppliers, the media and other service providers relevant to the hotel sector in Uganda.
Notably is the current Chairperson Mrs. Susan Muhwezi, making it an all lady team at the helm of UHOA.
