PEARL OF AFRICA TOURISM EXPO CONFIRMED FOR FEBRUARY 23RD TO 25TH
(Posted 09th January 2018)
The Uganda Tourism Board has now confirmed that the 2018 edition of POATE, the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo, is actually taking place this year again. The event will be staged at the Sheraton Kampala Gardens between 23rd and 25th of February.
Says UTB about the trade fair: ‘The Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) is an annual tourism event in the East African region organized by Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) to bring together travel agents, tour operators, hoteliers, destination managers and other service providers along the tourism value chain. It is a unique opportunity for the tourism business operators to meet new clients, network, market and discuss business.
In its fourth year of organization, scheduled to take place from 23rd to 25th February 2018 under the theme ‘Rediscover the Pearl’, the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo is aimed at raising the profile of Uganda as a preferred destination both domestically and regionally‘.
Unlike other such tradeshows, i.e. Magical Kenya, ZATEX, Sanganai, Karibu KILIFair, AKWABA and the Africa Travel Week however has the confirmation come out rather late in the day since the dates of other key tourism fairs across the continent are normally released a year in advance to make planning of attendance easier for the otherwise busy travel community.
Those planning to attend can find added information and details on the UTB website or otherwise contact the
