The Uganda Wildlife Authority has issued an urgent road travel advisory following the collapse of the River Mucha bridge.
As shown in the image above is a diversion route to Nkuringo suggested and should be used, until further notice, with immediate effect.
Road users should use the alternative route: Kisoro–Karengyere–Nyanamo–Rubuguri–Rushaga–Nkuringo.
– The diversion is motorable but being a murram road are drivers urged to drive carefully, especially during rain.
– Travel time may increase by approximately 30-45 minutes making early departures to Nkuringo a matter of high priority.
