Key Details of the Acquisition

- Transition: RwandAir withdrew the jets from service as part of its fleet renewal and parked them in Kigali before Kush Air finalized the acquisition.
- Kush Air Fleet Impact:
- Kush Air (founded in 2018) operates scheduled and charter services in Uganda and South Sudan.
- Its current fleet includes Dash 8-400 turboprops and a Boeing 737-200 freighter.
- The CRJ900s will represent the largest aircraft type in Kush Air’s fleet, scaling up its regional capacity.
The two plane were delivered to RwandAir ex factory (Bombardier Canada) in 2012 and have more recently been parked at the airport in Kigali after leaving active service.
