#VanillaIslands step up virtual tourism promotion through #NxSE2020

INDIAN OCEAN VANILLA ISLANDS – VIRTUAL MARKETING KEY TO SUCCESS

(Posted 28th October 2020)

The Vanilla Islands Association aims to promote inter-island packages internationally.

Just like the rest of the world, the Covid-19 crisis has had an impact on the Vanilla Islands’ operation and their actions.

So reorientation was needed to maintain the brand’s presence in the minds of its community while continuing to develop awareness.

We would particularly like to call attention to the actions in April that ran in partnership with the World Tourism Organisation and that consisted of a variety of content created and posted on various channels (the online site and social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.). The idea was to locally adapt a global campaign: #stayhome #traveltomorrow

A competition for the best SEO referrer has also been launched to promote this part of the world from a different angle (https://www.vanilla-islands.org/en/best-seo-expert/).

Digital Transformation – Indian Ocean/Africa

This link with digital firms continues to grow through participation in the NxSE forum. whose theme is "Digital Transformation – Indian Ocean/Africa".

In collaboration with the Réunion Region and the Maison de l’Export, a virtual stand has been set up to meet digital companies.

From 28th to 30th October, it will also be an opportunity to promote the Vanilla Islands and especially the SEO competition and its participants.

For Pascal Viroleau, director of the Vanilla Islands, "promoting a region doesn’t just mean focusing on the landscape. It also means shining a light on the culture and the inhabitants’ know-how. There are assets at the "tech" level that we should be proud of".
