Botswana rolls out e-visa regime to boost tourism and investments
The Ministry of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs through the Department of Immigration and Citizenship has launched the Online Visa Application Platform. Speaking during the launch, the Minister of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs Ms. Anna Mokgethi said through the platform applicants will be able to apply for visas online as opposed to the manual process. Minister Mokgethi revealed that the ministry was looking for innovative and customer-oriented solutions to meet the diverse needs of citizens, visitors and businesses. Read More here

The new minister of Arts, Culture and Tourism Vincente Maria Lionelle Jennifer Saraiva-Yanzere of Central Africa Republic has promised to make the tourism and arts sectors the main economic drivers for the country. Ms. Saraiva-Yanzere who was appointed in June this year following the re-election of President Professor Faustin-Archange Touadéra in March 2021, has set as her main objective of making the Central African Republic a destination for leisure and business activities to spur the needed economic development. Lufthansa Group increases frequency to Namibia with Eurowings Discover Airline
Lufthansa Group’s newest leisure airline, Eurowings Discover, touched down in Namibia for the very first time this Wednesday. Seychelles Int’l Airport announces First Step to scrap Paper Arrival Forms
The Ministry of Transport, in collaboration with the Department of Immigration, Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) and the Department for Information and Communication Technology (DICT), has launched a digital trial at the Seychelles International Airport to support the phasing out of the paper arrival forms. The current forms, which are reviewed on arrival by Immigration Officers at the Airport, will be gradually replaced by an e-form, powered by the existing Seychelles Islands Travel Authorization platform. Asky resumes flights to Malabo
Pan-African Airline, ASKY has announced the resumption of flights to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea as from August 23, 2021. Malabo will be connected to ASKY’s network from Lomé hub (Togo) to all other destinations once a week as instituted by the Government of Equatorial Guinea due to COVID restrictions.
