TREVOR WARD’S ‘W HOSPITALITY GROUP AND HOTEL PARTNERS‘ PUBLISHES STATE OF THE INDUSTRY REPORT

Trevor Ward earlier today announced the publication of the 2018 edition of their annual Hotel Chain Development Pipelines in Africa report.
As in previous years have they analysed the data by brand, by company, by country and by year, as well as by the type of deal. This 10th edition of their annual survey has a record 41 international and regional contributors, reporting pipeline activity of just over 76,300 rooms in 418 hotels, a 14 per cent increase on the 2017 pipeline.
Since the beginning of their analysis, the pipeline has grown each year, now more than 2.5 times the 2009 figures, when the pipeline was just 30,000 rooms in 144 hotels, and Africa was only just beginning to be the focus of the chains.
It is a positive African story and they are right to be proud to be closely involved with many of the chains’ and investors’ success stories on the African continent.
