#Zambia News Updates from #KafuntaSafaris

Kafunta Safaris

We thank ALL OF YOU for the most amazing year!

Indeed we’ve welcome more guests in 2018 than any other year before, we’ve had more inquiries from our travel partners, we’ve depended even more on our local and international suppliers and we enjoyed sharing all the stories with our readers and social media friends.

Thank you for your trust and your ongoing support and for making our 20th anniversary year a very special one!

We wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a fantastic holiday season! As we say goodbye to 2018, we already look forward to 2019 and we hope it will bring you peace, happiness and good health. And very importantly we wish for a cleaner, greener and safer planet for all of us and our fellow animals.

Anke, Ron, Luke, Izzy, Anelle, Theuns, Wilson, Dottie, Levy, our guides and staff.

Oh wait! We’ve got one more thing to thank you for!

Before we all turn to joyful celebrations with family and friends, we have one more favour to ask of you in 2018.

We know that you see several donation requests every day, via emails, through social media, in the press or on the radio. But we hope that our project will receive your attention, and bits of your kindness and generosity, too.

We’ll keep this short & quick!

Kafunta Safaris & Project Luangwa have launched an ambitious project of rebuilding the school for the children of the Malama Community (that’s where our bush camps are). There is only one public school there, the Chilongozi Basic School, and the Ministry of Education is threatening to close it as a consequence of its derelict and unsafe state. This would be a disaster for the young pupils (over 200 of them) who would have no schooling alternative (remember, this is 70 km away from Mfuwe, on dirt roads). We can’t let this happen.

But we can’t do it alone. We need your help.

A dozen of you have already done so. We count on many more to do the same.

So here’s our last thank you of 2018!

And please share our appeal, not only to friends and family but also with local organisations (churches, schools, Rotary/Lion clubs, businesses) close to you who may very well be on the lookout for good causes to support. (full project info here)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Anke & Ron Cowan
