4th UNWTO International Conference on Tourism and the Media
The next major UNWTO event is the upcoming 4th UNWTO International Conference on Tourism and the Media, to be held on 12-13 November 2015 in Tunis, Tunisia, an event which may be of interest to you.
Organized by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Ministry of Tourism of Tunisia, and with the support of CNN as a media partner, the conference will bring together key media representatives and major stakeholders from the tourism sector to discuss “How to build stronger partnerships between tourism destinations and the media” and to strengthen the relationship between the two, particularly in times of crisis.
The event will have a capacity building approach, through the inclusion of a number of workshops addressing themes such as crisis communications, operations at the newsroom and the emerging role of social media. As interaction among the participants constitutes a primary objective, debate and discussions will be particularly enhanced during the Conference.
