Additional information received just minutes are the last update of the Bukoba / Precision Air crash situation, which was filed at 18.00 hrs EAT, now speak of 19 passenger who have died, while the balance of passengers and crew are admitted to a local hospital in Bukoba.
This confirmation is likely to bring to an end – for today – the search and rescue operation which was immediately launched by Tanzanian aviation authorities from Bukoba Airport.

Precision Air has also just published their 4th statement of the day which reads:

06.11.2022. :00 LT…Precision Air regrets to confirm that 19 fatalities and 24 survivors have now
been reported by the emergency services at the scene of the accident involving flight PW-494
which crashed at Lake Victoria in Bukoba today.
The aircraft, 5H-PWF, ATR42-500, was flying from Dar es Salaam to Bukoba when the accident
occurred at around 08:53 local time. There were 39 passengers (38 Adults and 1 Infant) and 4 crew
on board the flight.
Precision Air extends its deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the passenger and crew
involved in this tragic accident. The company will strive to provide them with information and
whatever assistance they will require in this difficult time.
The names of passengers and crew on board the aircraft will not be released until all next-of-kin
have been notified. Relatives and friends of those who may have been on board are requested to
