#AirAustral’s partnership with #AirMadagascar leads to new route

NEW ROUTE TO BE LAUNCHED FROM #REUNIONISLAND TO #MADAGASCAR

(Posted 21st September 2018)

Information has come to light that the partnership between Air Austral and Air Madagascar has led to the decision to launch a new route between Madagascar and Reunion, launching in early December this year.

The new service, using a Boeing B737-8, will link Reunion’s main airport Roland Garros in St. Denis with the city of Tolagnaro via Toliara, offering a direct connection between the two cities without having to travel via Antananarivo, before flying on to Reunion where connecting flights into the Air Austral network are available.
The service will bear flight numbers of both airlines under an extensive code share deal agreed between the two carriers and the respective governments when Air Austral acquired 49 percent of Air Madagascar in late November last year.
