(Posted 19th March 2017)

Auric Air has confirmed that they have commenced a daily afternoon service between Mwanza and Bukoba, using one of their workhorse Cessna C208B Grand Caravan aircraft.
The flights leave Mwanza at 16.45 hrs local time for Bukoba, a town across Lake Victoria, before then taking off again at 17.45 hrs local time for the return service to Mwanza.
Mwanza, besides Arusha and Dar es Salaam, is one of the three bases of Auric Air, which initially started in 2001 from Tanzania’s lakeside city before expanding across the country.
Now operating a fleet of 13 Cessna Grand Caravans and Grand Caravan EX’s is Auric Tanzania’s only airline company with a Gold Rating by BARS, short for Basic Aviation Risk Standard of the Flight Safety Foundation. The oldest Cessna Grand Caravan is now 9 years old while the youngest aircraft was delivered in 2016, giving the fleet an average age of just 2.6 years.

Auric operates both scheduled and charter services to some 30 airports, aerodromes and airfields across Tanzania including flights linking the key Northern Circuit national parks with the Spice Island of Zanzibar while also connecting the Serengeti with Ruaha and the Selous.
