The Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles Resort, which recently reopened after extensive renovations, was recognised for meeting high standards across several areas. These included the level of hospitality, service quality, sustainability, integration of Seychellois culture, and the experience offered to visitors.
Having met all established criteria, the resort was officially awarded the 5-star distinction under this classification programme.
This marks the first time the Department of Tourism organised an exclusive ceremony to recognise tourism establishments that have achieved the 5-star classification.
The Principal Secretary for Tourism, Mrs. Sherin Francis, stated that this new initiative aims to honour the dedication and commitment of tourism operators while serving as an example to encourage other industry stakeholders to continue striving for the highest standards of hospitality.
