Breaking Boundaries now available on Netflix

(Posted 23rd June 2021)

Jochen Zeitz, the owner of the Segera Conservancy and co-producer of the Breaking Boundaries documentary, has announced the launch of the film on Netflix.

The Segera Retreat, in full operation under the new health and safety SOP’s, will show the feature on request to guests staying there.

Writes Jochen Zeitz:

Kate and I are thrilled to announce the launch of Breaking Boundaries – The Science of Our Planet on Netflix.

As some of you know, the idea for making this film was born two years ago at our annual Leadership Gathering on Segera, Kenya. Produced by Kate (Indikate Productions) and I, alongside our friends from Silverback Films and narrated by the legendary Sir David Attenborough, we were excited when a preview was screened for 40 world leaders at President Biden’s 2021 Climate Summit in April, as well as live-streamed globally from the U.S. State Department. The film will now go on to be screened at G7 and COP26 later this year, amongst other important global climate events.

Featuring the work of Professor Johan Rockstöm, the film explores the planetary thresholds we must not exceed, not only for the stability of our planet, but for the future of humanity. It also offers up solutions we can and must put in place now if we are to protect Earth’s life support systems.

It’s early days for reviews, but exciting to see 4 stars coming in already, alongside positive press from The Observer, The Sun and here is a clip from Outrage & Optimism – Christiana Figueres’ influential podcast in which she calls Breaking Boundaries “Probably the most important documentary that has ever been filmed”.

The more people, political and corporate leaders, and businesses that see this film and learn about our planetary boundaries, the better, so please share and spread the word.

We hope you enjoy it!

Jochen Zeitz
