In a listing released on New Year’s Day did CNN Travel name Uganda as one of the best tourism destinations in the world.
This puts the country, named by Winston Churchill as ‘The Pearl of Africa‘ back into the top tier of global long haul travel destinations, a position Uganda had been in previously before the pandemic over the past years, oftentimes inept marketing and other local events impacting on tourism took its toll.
This turn of events gives no doubt a big boost to the upcoming Uganda tourism exhibition called POATE – Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo, due to be held in February, about which www.ATCNews.org reported in late November year.
