Cyclone Cilida prompts delays for flights between Port Louis and Rodrigues

In a further news bulletin has Air Mauritius announced that flights between Port Louis and the island of Rodrigues will be delayed in the morning. Passengers booked need to stay in contact with the airline to ensure timely updates on flight information and accurate departure times.

Flight disruptions due to the passage of Cilida – Bulletin 3 Update

ATR72 operations on the Mauritius-Rodrigues route
Due to prevailing weather conditions with the passage of severe tropical cyclone Cilida, the following flights have been postponed:
? Flight MK140 from Mauritius scheduled for 17H25 and flight MK141 from Rodrigues scheduled for 19H30.
? Flight MK174 from Mauritius scheduled for 21H10 and flight MK175 from Rodrigues scheduled for 23H15.
All flight between Mauritius and Rodrigues scheduled for tomorrow Sunday 23 December until 14H00 have also been postponed.
Air Mauritius is closely monitoring the situation and will keep passengers informed of any further schedule changes through its Contact Centre and through regular communiques.
Air Mauritius regrets all inconveniences caused and wishes to reiterate that the safety of its passengers and crew is its topmost priority.

The airline had earlier announced changed timings for their flight departures to, among other destinations, Reunion, Madagascar, Johannesburg, Perth, Delhi, London and Paris.
