| Welcome to the first edition of the East African Safari Classic Rally Newsletter 2022! The Mini Classic Rally 2021 was held in the surroundings of the Amboseli area from 4th to 6th November. The organizers put on an excellent event for the competitors and spectators to enjoy rallying in the wild, with the magnificent view of Mt Kilimanjaro. The rally attracted both classic and raid cars, with top drivers from both categories. It was a tough event, the fesh fesh of Amboseli keeping all drivers on their toes. Baldev Singh Chager conquered the rally catergory, with navigator Ravi Soni. In the raid category Mark Glen and Rob Clader came in 1st place. The 10th edition of the world’s greatest classic rally – this prestigious event brings together people from all round the world to take part and watch the event. This year the rally had a great number of entries which included former Kenyan Rally Champions like Glen Edmunds, Lee Rose, Carl Tundo and Ian Dancan. Our Kenyan drivers were up against international drivers including Ken Block, Patrick Sandell, Kris Rosenberger, Geoff Bell and many more. Baldev Singh Chager emerged as the winner of the 10th edition of the East African Safari Classic Rally. Patrick Sandell in second place, and Ian Duncan in third place. The East African Safari Classic Rally this year hosted the fourth round of the Kenya National Rally Championship in Eldoret. The rally was flagged off from the Eka hotel Rupa Mall. This year the competitors experienced a tarmac stage, and the rest of the stages took place around the Cherangani Hills, Chebai, Chebara Dam, Chebiemit, and the power stage of the event started near Kapsowar. Karan Patel along with navigator Tauseef Khan had a rough start to the rally but ended in victory. |
    MINI CLASSIC RALLY 2022 ELDORET The Mini Classic Rally 2022 will be hosted in Eldoret, the City of Champions, from the 9th – 11th November. Most of the earlier generations will remember the iconic stages of the old safari days that took place in the hometown of the Chairman of The East Safari Classic Rally; Joey Ghose.
