EgyptAir’s new Cairo-Zanzibar service joins a wider expansion trend led by carriers such as Uganda Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, RwandAir, Air Peace, and Royal Air Maroc. South African carriers have also added Zanzibar to their expanded network..
The goal is clear: strengthen continental and regional connectivity, support trade and tourism, and keep more aviation value within Africa.
As intra-African routes grow, so does the potential for stronger business ties, increased investment, and greater economic integration across the continent.
