40th edition “Fête de la musique” in Brussels
The Fête de la Musique is back in Brussels and Wallonia with a whole host of new features and (free) heart-warming concerts! This year, 95% of the programme is made up of artists from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. And as is tradition, we’ll all be celebrating the longest day of the year together. Enjoy this musical atmosphere in the city until Sunday.

Transavia’s new destinations
Starting next week, Transavia will add three additional destinations to its network from Brussels Airport. Thus, Bari in Italy will be flown 3x/week, Marrakesh in Morocco also 3x/week and Thessaloniki in Greece will be flown 2x/week.
Soon a direct flight to Tromsø
From 31 October, we will welcome Norwegian to Brussels Airport. The Norwegian airline will offer direct flights to Tromsø throughout the winter (on Thursdays and Sundays). The city lies above the Arctic Circle, which means there are polar nights (when the sun does not rise above the horizon) from late November to mid-January. The area around Tromsø is also where the northern lights are most often seen. So, fancy discovering Tromsø with the northern lights?
Directly to Shanghai, without a visa
Since this week, you can fly direct to Shanghai 4x a week with Hainan Airlines. In July, Juneyao Air will also fly 3x a week to The Pearl of the Orient, which means there will be a daily connection between Brussels and Shanghai. Also, did you know that the trial period where you can travel to China with a Belgian passport without a visa (for max. 15 days) has been extended until 31 December 2025.
