The airlines has taken delivery of another two Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, marking another milestone in its ongoing fleet expansion. The B737Max fleet has now grown to a total of 31 aircraft.
The additions will further strengthen Ethiopian Airlines’ short- and medium-haul capacity, supporting its expanding network across Africa and international markets but also allow leases to airlines across Africa Ethiopian has a financial interest in and wet lease customers like Uganda Airlines.
For aviation in Africa these additional aircraft generally support greater connectivity, increased capacity and growing demand across the aviation supply chain.
As fleets across the continent continue to expand, reliable access to aircraft parts, consumables and AOG support will remain increasingly important as will access to reliable crew training (simulator) and MRO services, two more key pieces of the action Ethiopian Airlines has successfully captured.
