DOUBLE CELEBRATION AT ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES AS TWO ADDITIONAL WIDE BODY AIRCRAFT ARRIVE
(Posted 08th December 2018)
The arrival at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa earlier today of Ethiopian Airlines’ tenth Airbus A350XWB brought the overall active fleet of the airline to 108 aircraft.
Earlier in the week did another Boeing B777F arrive after the delivery flight from the United States, the 9th such cargo aircraft Africa’s aviation market leader now owns.
It was in June this year that Ethiopian celebrated the 100th aircraft into their fleet and over the following months were a further 8 aircraft delivered.
Notably has the airline also expanded on the African partnership front with Ghana being the latest country to invite Ethiopian Airlines to partner their planned national airline, adding to a growing network of such partnerships in Western, Southern and Central Africa.
Next on the horizon will be the launch flight to and from Manchester, which will become Ethiopian Airlines’ second destination in the UK.
