Families in Kitgum District are facing food shortages after prolonged drought, elephant attacks, and cattle raids destroyed crops, while government relief has reached only six sub-counties. Residents say the 20 kilograms of posho and 10 kilograms of beans allocated per household are insufficient, with some families reporting that the supplies last only about a week, as district leaders seek additional assistance.
