FASTJET BRAND AGAIN NAMED BEST LOW COST AIRLINE IN AFRICA

Fastjet takes the lead of Best Low-Cost Airline in Africa at the 2019 prestigious Skytrax World Airline Awards.
Fastjet has regularly featured amongst the top airline brands in Africa as a nominee for various industry awards. The most recent 2019 accolades added to the Fastjet family’s achievements include Skytrax Best Low-Cost Airline in Africa Award, nominated in this category for three consecutive years, leading the category in 2017 and 2019, placing second in 2018, and the World Travel Awards, as the Leading African Low-Cost Airline for the fourth consecutive year. The awards bestowed on Fastjet are based on votes from airline customers which is an encouraging endorsement for Fastjet.

To date the Fastjet brand covers Zimbabwe, Mozambique and South Africa and ranks in the Top 20 Africa, European and Middle East airlines for punctuality.
The Zimbabwe flight network continues to provide reliable, high frequency services from their hub in Harare, Zimbabwe. This year saw the airline introduce a change to its network, launching double daily flights between Harare and Bulawayo and a seasonal schedule between Victoria Falls and Johannesburg, South Africa.
In April of this year Fastjet Mozambique and Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique, in short known as LAM, announced the signing of a codeshare agreement on the Beira, Quelimane and Tete routes operated between both airlines. This arrangement is intended to strengthen the Airlines respective route networks, to facilitate commercial sales and to improve passenger convenience in flight schedules.
