LETS GO FLY‘ SAYS FASTJET #ZIMBABWE AS THE AIRLINE PREPARES TO TAKE TO THE SKIES AGAIN

(Posted 19th September 2020)

With new travel norms and customer expectations at the forefront of its business objectives fastjet Zimbabwe has today announced the launch of a Promotional Fares campaign across their domestic route network, as they set to welcome back local travellers as from Monday 21st of September 2020.

With a renewed domestic network plan, the airline will recommence local flights, between Harare and Bulawayo, from 21st of September 2020, and between Harare and Victoria Falls from 01st of October 2020, with introductory promotional web fares, starting at $100 US Dollars one way, including taxes and free baggage allowances.

The airline considers this latest promotion as part of their ongoing commitment in support of Zimbabwe’s Post COVID19 tourism recovery strategy, and the initiatives of the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism & Hospitality Industry and Zimbabwe Tourism Authority.

In announcing their latest promotion under the “Let’s Go” theme, a fastjet official stated that ‘We expect that until we become familiar with the new travel norms, flying is likely to be slightly different. We, therefore, shall maintain our focus on adding value and peace of mind for customers, helping restore connectivity amongst our communities, contribute to the economic recovery of the country and of course, lift people’s spirits through the power of travel.’

The safety and wellbeing of customers and employees remains of utmost priority for the airline during these challenging times. With one of the business recovery goals focusing on supporting the combating of COVID-19, the airline has introduced additional operational and service norms, all of which are explained to travellers on their new Fly with Confidence website page. In line with the latest announcements, new travel requirements apply, and customers are encouraged to check the website to help them prepare for their flight and comply with all destination-specific entry criteria.

As fastjet customers step back onto their flights and embrace a new experience, they can look forward to receiving a Wellbeing Care pack with a friendly fastjet welcome from the airline’s crew. The care pack will offer travellers a mask, sanitiser wipe and travel-size hand sanitiser gel for their personal use.

Along with their Flexible Change policy that allows unlimited changes without fees or fare differences, the airline positions itself as a proud and leading customer-centric Zimbabwean service provider.

The Fastjet Call Centre and Travel Shops have recommenced operations, and for more details on the operational hours visit the airline’s website. Promotional fares apply for flights until 31st of October, and are available online, subject to availability. Customers are encouraged to book early with the peace of mind that the Flexible Change Policy applies to new bookings until 15th of March 2021.
