VICTORIA FALLS TO JOHANNESBURG FLIGHTS RESUME TO STILL TRAVEL HUNGER

(Posted 17th March 2021)

Fastjet Zimbabwe announced the resumption of flights between Victoria Falls, International Airport and Johannesburg, OR Tambo International Airport with immediate effect.
The flights will operate thrice-weekly between the two cities, on a Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, departing from Johannesburg OR Tambo International at 11:10 arriving in Victoria Falls at 12:50. The return flight will depart Victoria Falls at 13:20 arriving at 14:55 at OR Tambo International Airport.
Flights will be operated on the airline’s fifty-seater Embraer ERJ145 aircraft.

A fastjet spokesperson said: “We are pleased to return to this route following our temporary interruption of services on the route due to the drop in demand on leisure travel linked to the global pandemic. As COVID-19 restrictions ease we are reacting to an increased interest for reliable flight connections on this key route, particularly as domestic and regional tourism returns. To complement the Rovos Rail service from Pretoria to Victoria Falls, Fastjet will be adding adhoc additional flights on a Friday, allowing customers an ‘air-rail’ experience between South Africa and Zimbabwe”.

Fastjet also serves the route between Harare and Johannesburg and between Harare to Bulawayo and Victoria Falls.
