REUNION, THE NEW INCENTIVE DESTINATION

(Posted 15th April 2015)

Annie Claude Miara, CEO of SDT Events and inspite of her young looks a veteran in the industry, earlier this week went on record in Reunion to explain what make the incentive industry tick and why more and more incentive organizers are taking a fresh look at Reunion Island as their choice of destination to reward their staff and customers.

With 35 years of experience in the field of event communication does SDT Events organize seminars, congresses and incentives for large international firms. It offers its customers experience, passion, involvement, responsiveness and knowledge. It’s DNA? Creating emotion, finding exceptional features and adding value. Said Annie Claude when asked by IRT, Ile de la Reunion Tourisme:

1. In your opinion, what are the strengths of the Reunion Island as incentive destination?

Reunion is unquestionably an incentive destination. The island combines quality accommodation in a very friendly and warm welcome, especially in hotels high-end offering a high quality service and food. The diversity of its operations, its low jet lag and its flora and fauna are unique to the island of Réunion and all this makes it a prime destination for incentive travel and other professional missions.

2. What is your top 5 activities to do on the island?

It is difficult to choose five activities from over seventy! Reunion Island is a vibrant destination where you are not bored one minute. If I had to choose I would say:

1. hiking,

2. overflying the island by helicopter,

3. the discovery of the volcano,

4. snorkeling white water,

5. snorkeling in the lagoon.

3. What companies have you handled to come to Reunion as an incentive destination?

We work with large groups with whom we have established a relationship of trust. We have already organized such tours the island of Reunion for companies like Volkswagen France, Total, or BNP.

4. What do the local hosts offer their guests?

At the end of March, we organized an incentive trip to Reunion which attracted 280 people. Each of these 280 people took home memories of exceptional value from this trip! None of them could imagine that we have available such a range and quality of attractions and offers and many of them now want to come back privately for a vacation.

5. What experience do you have to organize incentive groups’s itineraries?

As professionals of the incentive, at SDT Events we believe that this type of stay requires great adaptability in relation to the requests by clients. We found that the various partners we have across the island go totally out of their way to make an incentive a wonderful memory for our customers.

6. In your opinion, what makes Reunion special?

First the island of Reunion is surprising in many ways. The strengths of the destination are certainly the warm welcome, the quality of the structures and professionalism of the guides. This is a great surprise for those who do not yet know the meeting!
