Low Cost Airline announces more flights to Zambia and Zimbabwe

FASTJET ADDS FOURTH FLIGHT TO LUSAKA AND HARARE

Fastjet, which yesterday formally celebrated the launch of their new route from Kilimanjaro to Entebbe, has announced extra flights from Dar es Salaam to both Lusaka and Harare. A fourth weekly flight has been added, due to growing demand on these routes, the only nonstop connections from Tanzania to Zambia and to Zimbabwe.

At the same time was a schedule change announced for the Johannesburg flights, which from 01st of June will depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays out of Dar es Salaam and return the following day respectively, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Thousands of seats were snapped up by savvy travelers making use of the present sales week initiative, with international flights from Dar to Johannesburg, Lusaka, Harare and Entebbe all going for as low 50 US Dollars PLUS TAXES AND FEES while tickets on the Tanzanian domestic destinations went for as low as 20 US Dollars, again PLUS TAXES AND FEES.

In a related development is the aviation industry in the region now awaiting the upcoming bilateral talks between Tanzania and Kenya, in which the fate of the landing right application by Fastjet for flights from Dar es Salaam to Nairobi will be high on the agenda.
