Jambojet adds another 1.000 cheap tickets which also sell out in record time

JAMBOJET ADDS MORE ‘MOTHER’S DAY WEEK’ TICKETS AS 4.000 SELL LIKE HOT CAKES

(Posted 09th May 2014)

The Jambojet promotion for the Mother’s Day Week, offering some 4.000 tickets at the incredible all inclusive fare of 1.850 Kenya Shillings one way, blew the market away yesterday when within hours all of the 4.000 tickets were sold out like the proverbial hotcakes. Normally the lowest possible fare on each of the destinations available out of Nairobi, Mombasa – Kisumu – Eldoret cost 2.850 Kenya Shillings and longer prebooking periods must be observed, a condition waived for this special promotion.

Hence, faced with incredible success but also incredible pressure when clients realized that it was the proverbial early birds who caught the tickets, the company then decided to add a further 1.000 tickets to the promotion, and it is understood that they too were sold out again within hours after the announcements were made on the social media and swept across the FB and Twitter time lines.

One regular aviation source mentioned in an email that this promotion did cost Jambojet at least 40 million Kenya Shillings in lost fares, likely more as the average fare is higher than the lowest of 2.850 Kenya Shillings, but perhaps overlooked that the PR value and getting back into the media on storm wings may be the best investment they have made in weeks into publicity and marketing, getting travelers to talk about them once again as it was during the pre-launch hype following which their PR agency went into slumber mode.

Now with such fares and the special deals available at the resorts in Mombasa, surely there can be no better time to travel to the coast and soak up some sunrays this coming Mother’s Day weekend.
