Jazeera Airways operated the inaugural flight to Addis Ababa last evening, marking the launch of their newest destination in Africa. This new route not only strengthens direct connectivity between the Kuwait and Ethiopia but also opens a gateway to Eastern Africa.
The inaugural flight was officially flagged off at Jazeera Terminal 5 (T5) by H.E. Dr. Sied Muhumed Jibril, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the State of Kuwait, and Naser Fahad Alobaid, Chief Executive – Government Affairs and CEO – T5, Jazeera Airways.
Jazeera will operate direct flights between Kuwait and Addis Ababa three times weekly offering a greater travel choice for the more than 70,000 Ethiopian nationals living in Kuwait and promoting tourism, trade, investment and people-to-people ties.
As Jazeera Airways continues to expand their network, Addis Ababa also strengthens Jazeera Airways’ presence in Africa and opens greater connectivity through Kuwait to destinations across the wider Jazeera network.
