KTB and Jovago.com join hands to reach wider markets

KENYA TOURISM BOARD AND JOVAGO.COM SIGN PARTNERSHIP DEAL

Partnerships in tourism often create synergy effects and help accomplish objectives which fit both parties. It was in this spirit that Jovago.com and the Kenya Tourism Board yesterday put pen to paper, increasing visibility for both on their respective websites and bringing Africa’s number one booking portal for hotels, resorts and safari lodges closer to the target audience in Kenya, the wider Eastern African region, the continent and beyond.

The partnership will see to it that all the accommodation facilities can be accessed via online bookings by both local and international clients, using the integrated booking link between KTB’s destination website, Magical Kenya and Jovago.com.

KTB Managing Director Muriithi Ndegwa said the partnership will offer a platform for hoteliers to receive booking from different clients owing to the world wide visibility: ‘This online booking will guarantee a good visibility of different brands and to clients with varied preference and choice’.

The joint partnership which will be formally unveiled in a joint function in Nairobi on the 26th, i.e. next Thursday, will go a long way in enhancing online campaigns aimed at improving Kenya’s brand equity.

Commenting on the just signed Memorandum of Understanding did Ms.Estelle Verdier, Managing Director of Jovago.com also express her view on the integration when she said in a communication to this correspondent: ‘We are delighted about this partnership which will definitely support the growth of the tourism industry by making it easier and cheaper to travel to Kenya. Jovago.com features over 1.000 [hotels,
resorts and lodges] in Kenya. The rates are already negotiated, with even a greater advantage for residents, therefore supporting local tourism’.

Jovaco.com will be vetting all the hotels before being integrated into the magical Kenya portal to ensure that the quality of the properties featured meets standards and expectations.
