Manchester set for a third daily Airbus A380 flight

EMIRATES PLANS TO UP AIRBUS A380 FLIGHTS TO THE UK

(Posted 08th August 2016)

The Brexit vote a few weeks ago seems to have had no impact on the forward planning of Emirates, Dubai’s award winning airline, as news have emerged earlier today of added Airbus A380 flights come January 2017.
Manchester, home to two of the world’s best known football clubs, Manchester United and Manchester City, will see the third daily frequency upgraded from a Boeing B777 to an Airbus A380. The route is expected to exceed the one million passenger mark this financial year, a sign how the services of Emirates are in much demand. This route is served with A380 aircraft in a three class configuration of First, Business and Economy.
Birmingham, also home to two former Premier League clubs, Aston Villa and Birmingham City, will equally see an adjustment for flights EK37/38 to offer more convenient connections, a switch from EK39/40 which currently operates with an A380, this aircraft offering a two class configuration of Business and Economy with overall 615 seats in total.
The development will be of interest to passengers from Emirates’ East Africa destinations of Entebbe, Nairobi and Dar es Salaam which are serves once and twice a day respectively and convenient connections in Dubai to and from the UK.
