MAINTENANCE ANNOUNCED FOR MARA NORTH AIRSTRIP

Information was received earlier today that the MARA NORTH Conservancy intends to carry out planned maintenance of the MARA NORTH Airstrip.
The Maintenance is scheduled to commence on Monday 28th November 2016 and is expected to take place until 7th December 2016.
Any passengers, or safari operators who plan to book or already have bookings to Mara North Airstrip during the above mentioned period are urged to please amend their bookings to alternative airstrips, such as Mara Ngerende, Mara Kichwa Tembo or another.
Unfortunately, landings at the Mara Shikar Airstrip may not be available as an alternative airstrip during the period of maintenance as this strip is not an all weather field.
Airlines operating from Wilson Airport into the Masai Mara, like Air Kenya or SafariLink, will also inform passengers destined for Mara North of their actual landing strip in the Masai Mara during the period in question. They will also inform the respective camps and lodges in the area where to pick up their guests arriving on their flights or where to drop them off for departure from the Masai Mara.
